The Tenryo Hita Museum, which opened in 1988, is a facility where exhibits on the theme of Tenryo Hita and the culture of the townspeople are placed.
The museum is rich in materials related to Edo-period folk culture and Tenryo, which are essential for understanding the history of Hita, and many tourists visit to see the history of the wealthy Kakeya. Numerous calligraphic works and official documents that tell the story of those days have been collected, and about 100 items are on display.
In addition, special exhibitions are held in spring and autumn.
