Located in a corner of Kamidenomachi Street since the castle town, the former Takeda-so is the residence of Tanomura Chikuden, a literary painter of the Edo period.
This is the only existing samurai residence that is open to the public.

The view from the second floor is of the castle town that Takeda wrote about in his Chinese poetry, and in winter you can see Oka Castle.
In addition, the works of Tanomura Takeda are exhibited in the Gassho Hall on the right side of the entrance.
