The Kumano Magaibutsu is located at the top of a steep stone staircase that the demons piled up in one night.
It is one of the largest Buddha images in Japan and is designated as an important cultural property by the government.
It is said to be one of the most important cultural assets in Japan.
The Dainichi Nyorai (approx. 6.7 m) and the Fudo Myoo (approx. 8 m) are carved on the right and left sides of the cliff, respectively.
